Photography is not just about pushing the trigger … it’s more than that. It’s all about perspective. This is especially true in motorsport where you have the opportunity to create different perspective, catch the speed and all the emotion.

My name is Daniel Schnichels, I was born in 1990 in a city between Cologne and the famous Nürburgring – a place that will always be special and magical for me.

I bought my first camera in 2010 and I enjoyed reading about different techniques. I started out by taking landscape pictures in the beautiful Eifel region where I live. The first motorsport event I attended with my camera was in 2012 – it was the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring. In my first season I have covered a number of RCN events at the Nordschleife, and shooting motorsport has become something very special to me – I feel very at home track-side. While I consider the Nürburgring my “home track” I’ve actually only been there a few times. For the most part, my motorsport photography efforts have focused on other racetracks throughout Europe.

Since 2013 I have been working for a German Sports Car Magazine as a photographer and journalist. I’m very thankful to be working in this field as a professional motorsport photographer and journalist - I enjoy working with my clients to meet their needs both photographically and in the areas of copywriting and the production of press releases. If you are looking for someone to help in these areas, please feel free to contact me, I’d be happy to work with you.
